Spring Break Plans
I’m visiting some family friends in California and they say they might have a large animal vet who just might let me ride around with him! You can never get enough hours. :) Also, I’ve never shadowed a large animal (not strictly equine) vet, so this’ll be exciting!

I’m very very excited for this. Dress rehearsals have been so much fun. I can’t believe that I don’t do theater at all and I could still be a part of Dartmouth’s Hairspray - being a pit singer really really rocks. I could sing harmonies all day. But actually.

sorry i've been MIA for so long
as a result of winter carnival weekend, my body is kindly requesting that i never again go out that many nights in a row. it is doing this by making me fall asleep every couple hours during the day time. it was a great weekend though, and i’m happy i got to see N so much (our schedules don’t overlap a lot normally).

i did better - but so did everyone else. the median was impossible. i did well, but not better than a bunch of some of the smartest and most motivated pre-med kids in the country. that’s fine, right?

A new orthobunyavirus is taking Europe by storm, producing deformed lambs, goat kids and calves. Emerging disease is a very serious problem, as extensive research must be done before vaccines or treatments can be developed. Veterinary epidemiologists to the rescue! Hopefully they will be able to discover more soon.

pit singers auditions!
Today I went ahead and auditioned to be a pit singer for Dartmouth’s production of Hairspray - doing background voices for the very vocal-heavy soundtrack with the guest conductor Joel Mercier - and it was so so much fun. It is going to be 100% worth the pain and tears and scariness that will occur when the last three Hairspray performances happen the weekend before the third orgo midterm.
