One thing I do not like is this

“DON’T GO TO THIS VET OMG THEY CHARGED ME SO MUCH MONEY THAT MUST MEAN THEY ARE INCONSIDERATE ASSHOLES WHO ONLY THINK ABOUT MONEY I MEAN IT’S NOT LIKE THEY’VE WORKED ALL OF THEIR LIVES TO SAVE MY PET THAT I ONLY REALLY HALF LIKE ANYWAY THAT’S WHY I DO NOT WANT TO…

I really hope public awareness of this continues to improve. Physician assistants make more money than veterinarians, unless they’re specialists. People in this field have a true passion, not a desire for money (vet techs get paid crap, for sure).

And don’t forget, vet care is truly ‘you get what you pay for.’ If you want gold standard care for your fur kid, you will pay for it! You can go cheaper places, but a cheaper dental will likely not be the same quality.

I’ve seen owners agree to everything for one pet because they have insurance for it, but decline for the other because it is not insured. It makes a difference!

Severe generalised demodectic mange in a 4 week old puppy. There are 6 other puppies in the same litter with the same condition, likely because of the bitch, which also has demodectic mange that we treated previously with a 16 week course of doramectin. Recommendations for the owner was a minimum of an 8 week course of doramectin injections for all the puppies and the bitch, and to spey the bitch as soon as possible, because oestrus exacerbates the underlying immunity levels resulting in demodex flare-ups.

Unfortunately, the owner opted to send all the puppies to the pound due to financial reasons.
